AirasiaX - Optiontown

This is the first time I'm using this optiontown upgrade service. My route was KUL-ICN. As I'm travelling alone and my back was aching like hell so I decided to give this service a try. What you need to do to make sure your chances of getting the premium seats higher. Below are my steps for your reference:

Do a fake booking on airasia , choose the premium seats, click until u reach the seat select section, check the availability, if 4 seats and above taken then chances are lower. For my case, I saw only one seat is taken, so I actually pay the upgrade one day before my flight for about RM249, ( the later u pay the more u pay). Usually the price is about RM166/way for Seoul. My flight was 2345 and I was being inform of my upgrade around 0000 or 0030? Enough time to pack :)

You will entitle :
20kg check in baggage
1 free meal ,2 bottle of water
Priority boarding vice versa(love this)
Priority baggage unloading
Privacy,long leg room
Good flatbed to sleep
Duvet n pillow provided on board

My Tips: they dont award upgrade base on first come first serve, I'm guessing the more you pay for upgrade , the higher the chances. If you're travelling in a group..chances are lower too. So enjoy your flight!

Ichigoichie 一期一会 SS15 Subang

This was a not very well known shop in subang. I guess it was open by Japanese as I can see a lot of Japanese written menu on the wall. We went for lunch on a Sunday and we were the only patron there.

Ordered two sets of tonkatsu. According to the price I think it should be the "better" part of the pig! Lol..one of the tonkatsu were quite similar with the one I had in Kimukatsu Tokyo. So glad to find someone who knows how to make layers tonkatsu as per pic. price is really hefty but worth it! Tonkatsu set starts from RM35. They serve black pork as well!

Little Korea @ sunway mentari

Was craving for Korean food so we dropby a place nearby to satisfy our craves. It's quite easy to find but I suggest you to go early because I think the parking is not much there.

So hungry we ordered like mad there! Ordered two servings of BBQ pork, marinated n the original. Spicy stir fried squid cw noodle, seafood noodle soup and bunch of banchan for free of course. We find the noodles not bad and BBQ pork just usual (better than daorae). Price is reasonable , about rm100 for that Much of food..! Love the sikhye they offer at the end of meal..refreshing! So sorry we cant finish everything..definitely come back to try other dishes..;)

Venue hunting

After my engagement..the most important task is too secure the dinner venue..my future MIL help us to count our dates at the "loh tit pat", but there weren't many weekends to choose from..so we decided to go ahead with the wesak day which falls on 24/5/13, one day before my birthday..next I list down a list of restaurant and call them one by one to ask for availability..

My list are as follow:
1.tropicana golf club(menu come out late, fully book always)
2.oriental Pavillion
3.oriental banquet
4.imperial garden (narrow hall)
5.super tanker @ bkt utama club(lc manager Steven, cheap looking menu, good cocktail area n ballroom)

Most of them were booked for 25/5, so I decided to have it on 24/5/13! Actually my first choice was tropicana because I wanted a ballroom, but in the end I chose oriental pavillion due to its menu and location. Brought my in laws family and my parents together to view the venue and paid the deposit which cost 3k..venue done!

Santouka , Pavillion

An unplanned visit with my mates. Surprisingly no need to queue. Ordered miso, miso karai(spicy), shio soup to try. Soup a bit salty, I'll recommend the pork neck(tokusen toroniku)! Very tender! Side order: meat gyoza n tonkatsu, just normal..Thier ramen size comes in small,medium,large..price start from about rm22++

The shop is quite big for a ramen shop. I found the menu a bit too much..rice and set noodle meal , pork dishes..etc..so diversify..i was surprise..I wonder is the branches in Japan do the same..

Don't mind to visit again..but not in near future..

Ichiro Sushi Bar @ Isetan 1u

Ordering with iPad
the bar
Not many seats in this restaurant
Treating myself something luxury..
Kappa maki, Toro, Tobiko
Toro and the heavily filled tobiko
Champion of the night..salmon & salmon roes temaki

Actually i have no intention to come here...i was just looking around for dinner in Isetan, then i came across this shop..saw some japanese sushi chef..so i decided to gave it a try..I'm not a person who fancies different different kind of fishes and sushi style..i like to stick to the basics..so i ordered - cucumber maki @RM4.00, Flying fish roe@RM6.00, Toro @RM18.00 and Salmon & salmon roe temaki@RM10. Green tea was RM2 - refillable. I was quite disappointed with the Toro (the most expensive in the nigiri section), wasn't as fresh as i thought ( In tokyo, 2 pcs of toro sushi only cost me 500Yen=RM20!!)..others were all good..i love roes..those salmon are so fresh..thumbs up! Bill came up at about RM46 for a lonely meal...A very hefty dinner -_- Will revisit again for other stuff with a partner of course..

Coffee Chemistry @ First Subang

They've change their furniture
More comfortable chairs

My usual cappuccino
His Hot chocolate
Grilled Chicken thigh..yum yum
My BLT burrito

My usual breakfast place - coffee chemistry first subang...what i like is their environment, good coffee and food. Price might be on the high side..but acceptable eg.RM10++ for a cup of coffee...visited so many times i didn't blog about it =D

My 2xth birthday at Neroteca

Bit sad when mentioning my age..I still couldn't accept my real age yet :( anyway, pls enjoy the meal pics taken at Neroteca,  a non-halal italian restaurant in Somerset KL.
that tin was olive oil
Our very corner table
Cold cuts - ham & salami...very yummy! but dunno how to appreciate the cheese though
his pork loin in..smtg..erm..cheese covered? very normal...
My very disappointing seafood spaghetti..seafood not fresh, basically tasteless..

Ordered carrot cake..just soso

Me and my mango tiramisu, complimentary by Maxis, and also a 10% total bill discount.

This shop is not hard to locate, i think it was made famous by the 'meme proposal'. It's a non halal restaurant, which means porky is served here! Menu was a bit confusing as it was too long with all those italian names...but anyway do ask for recommendation by staff, they're happy to help you..i noticed most of the staff were foreigners..hmm..my advice to you is pls reserve a table here because it was really crowded with a  lot of farangs...the highlight of the whole meal was the cold cut..we really love the hams& salami..others were really disappointing..price was on the high side..expect about 100-120 per person (w/o wine). I might revisit to give them a second chance. Finally..I got older =(
